NORMALLY THAT CLICKING NOISE MEANS THAT YOUR BATTERY DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH JUICE TO ENGAGE THE STARTER,THE CLICKING IS YOUR STARTER SOLENOID TRYING TO MAKE A CONNECTION SO POWER CAN GET TO THE STARTER MOTOR,IT COULD ALSO BE A BAD SOLENOID AND OR STARTER.
IF IT TURNS OUT TO BE THE BATTERY YOU MAY HAVE A SHORT SOMEWHERE DRAINING THE BATTERY WHILE IT SITS OR YOUR ALTERNATOR IS BAD AND NOT KEEPING IT CHARGED SUFFICIENTLY.

It wont turn over worked fine no issues last night and now it is dead no sounds

Your year--make--model didn't post for some reason? That info would help?
Make sure battery has a full charge and all battery connections good, follow the voltage, use a test lite.
Check voltage at fuses, some are hot all the time, some go hot with the key on.
Also, check your charging system.

2001 chevy impala wont start just make a click sound started fine last night this morning nothing pls help its not the security thing either had that fix on the recall

Before you trouble shoot a car always charge your battery. It sounds like you have a loose Battery Cable to the Starter to me. This has happen to me that's how I know. To confirm this pull on the positive battery cable while someone else tries to start your car. Did it start? If it did not start then it's between your Battery and your Starter. Let's now check your Battery. Fully charge it again and make sure you have 12.6 Volts if your Battery does not take a charge it has a bad cell and needs changing. If your Battery turns out good then you have to check your starter or Solenoid and if one is bad change them both. Remove it and have an auto store check it to see which one is bad. I hope this helps you out. Let me know how you make out.

I have a 2001 Cadillac deville that will not start when I turn the key it clicks for a few seconds and nothing. The service anti thift soon came on, on the dash the day before the radio stopped working...

It's hard to say for sure since it sounds like it could be many things. If you turn the key and you hear a few clicks coming from the engine and then nothing, it could mean a very very weak battery. Your first step should be trying a different (fully charged) battery. Good luck.

Key wont turn in ignition. I am getting

I would check the battery first before I started condemning any other systems. It is possible that it has enough of a charge to make the lights come on a little but not enough to turn the starter motor. The starter requires a much larger amount of electricity than the lights.

Hello i bought a 2001 bmw 330xi 2 months ago, the car was working fine when i got it, i went to waterpark in WI Dells, so i drove and took my less remote key in the water with me so i dont lose it. and...

firstly try with the spare key, sometimes they become uncoded. Then if you have a voltmeter check the battery to make sure there is still a good level of power in it before getting the started motor cheked.

Last night car would not start was making

you may need some power steering fluid or it could be a computer fault. the clicking was a low battery not being able to turn the starter motor but it should not effect your steerin. try some fluid first if that doesn't work take it to a garage. it could be something simple like a loose wire.

For last two days my truck had to be jumped start.

Just because your accs. function does not mean the battery is ok The first thing to check is the battery, there could be dead cells in the battery your starter need maximum voltage if a cell is dead the battery generally will not turn the engine over check that battery

Van won't start 2001 Ford Windstar, worked perfectly last night when parked. Wont Start now. Does not appear to be a battery issue. I do hear a slight whirring sound that might be the fuel pump, I also...

if it does absolutely nothing when you turn the key but you're SURE the battery is good or tried to jump it, it sounds like an interlock problem. there are several things that could be causing it but I would concentrate either on the gear shift interlock (has to be in park before it will engage the electrical system when starting) or the key itself. First thing I would do is (with my foot on the brake), shift it through all the gears then make sure it's in park then try it again.
