Hi!
If the Temp. Selector Control is set to Heat and blows cold air, your Blend Door Actuator may be stuck or it is inoperative. The actuator is not fixable, if it fails, it must be replaced. Follow the instructions to remove and replace it.

When this happens i think maybe the door inside housing is stuck.either a vacume hose has sprung a leak or if that model uses wire inside of a spring ,a twig or leaf is wedged.the little door separates the chambers inside the housing.one side is heat and one side is cold.

sounds like you have a bad temperature sensor in dash or the cable has eitehr broken or come off the heater switch under the dash!!
SOURCE: heater blowing cold air
squeeze the hoses to get any air bubbles out and refill coolant as necesary. are you sure you put thermostat in the right way? may be backwards. also may be your sensor.

You will have to change the heater core. 9 out of 10 times, when the heater is not heating the air, it is a bad heater core.

Hi!
It
appears we have an Air lock scenario and you will need to perform a
system Bleed.
Park
the vehicle on level ground, when cold remove coolant filler cap,
start engine and leave to idle, turn heater on full and blower to
max. When engine reaches operating temperature watch and listen near
coolant filler, keep clear as gurgling and hopefully a boil over
should occur. Top up with very warm coolant and wait as it may do it
again.
Check
for heat inside vehicle if warm replace coolant cap but keep an eye
on temperature gauge as the ~Air lock may have moved on from heater
matrix/core so proceedure needs to be carried out again from COLD.
If
persistent boil ups/over attention must made in the cylinder head
or
gasket area, or possibly water pump?

I have a 2004 dodge intrepid 3.5 l... I changed the thermostat, and made sure the fluid level was proper. I went to bleed it and nothing came out. The engine temp was midway, but no heat...only cold air. I don't know where the blend door actuator is located. No dash problem lights on, so I am lost. Could it be something to do with the radiator flow (clog) Top hose is warm but lower seems hot.
