Trying to replace the headlamp thats located behind the air filter on my 1991 Lexus 400. I have removed the filter housing and exposed the back of the fixture. How do I remove the electrical fixture form the housing. Does it twist out??? or do I need to push some clips in and pull??? If I break it I am sure the whole assembly will cost me more than the $9 for the lamp only???

On Lexus ls 400 the starter is located underneath the manifold of intake. The intake manifold has to be removed to replace the starter. The intake manifold located on the top, left side of the engine from the front, along with the hoses, wires and tubes connected to the manifold.Mark each connections before disconnecting. This will help you while reconnecting. The starter is fitted by bolts.Remove the bolts and detach electrical cables on starter.Remove starter from engine compartment. Then re-fit the new starter in reverse as you removed the old starter. Its not very easy job.You will require proper tools to do this. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

. The air filter is on the passenger side right behind the passenger
head under the hood. To access it you must use have a socket wrench and a
10 mm socket.
1. Go to the driver side under the hood near the battery. In
front of the battery there a then cover that you must lift up. Once you
have lifted this cover, there is a silver screw that is holding the air
cover directly over the radiator. Remove the cover and then
loosen the screw to take the center air cover off from over the
radiator.
2. While working your way to the right, you will notice there is
another cover on the passenger side. Remove this cover and you will then
see the air filter. The air filter is big round and has a latch. The
only way that you can access the air filter is by removing the 3 screws
that hold stable to the air induction which is connected to the throttle
plate.
3. Remove these screws with the same 10 mm socket and also loosen the
lowest clamp on the air induction so you can take just the air filter
housing out. You may have to move back and forth to wiggle out.
4. Once you have wiggled out the air filter housing, you can unlatch
the air filter and then replace.
5. Then reverse the instructions to reinstall.

The fuel filter is located behind the back seat.there is a 9" access port in the center of the fuel tank behind the back seat. located in the center of the open port you will see a fuel hose with some hose clamps.the 3 semicircular bolts that line the bottom of the portal anchor the bracket that holds the fuel filter mounted deeper in the fuel tank. Thankyou-
