With key off, pull coil wire from distributor and hold it near a ground point. put a jumper wire from positive battery to positive coil terminal. Briefly jump the negative coil terminal to ground. Coil should release a spark to ground when ground is removed from negative terminal. Make sense?

Coils do not have spark on 1997 Chevy lumina 3.1

Sounds like a bad crank sensor. It is needed to properly tell the firing order of vehicle. if the wrong signal it will not start. and to tell the coils to fire, If the coils have power to them and not sending it to plugs, Theres a possibility that the ignition module is bad! Check for cracks under or on bottom of coils. The ignition module is located under coil packs on most vehicles. Good-Day!

No electricity spark plugs 4,00 liter

check all fuses first, every time, something fails EFI.
the scan tool will tell you why 90 % of time.
connect scan tool
key on
crank for 5 seconds, see scan tool show 300 RPM? about.
good, no RPM is bad sensor (Cmp or ckp)
release key , do not turn off yet
see DTCs stored, now, bingo, its telling you what is bad. OMG.
p0340/ 355? and the like? are bad CMP, bad CKP, or others get em
post em or look them up in the FSM. or at alldata.com
Theory:
the ECU creates spark
there are the 2 sensors that tell the ECU when to spark (inputs)
and the ECU DRIVER the ignition IGNOTOR, that runs the ignition coil.
1 coil or 6 coils. depends on year.
4.0L I6 Jeep engines.

did you check for spark directly at the 1 coil car or at all 6 coils for 6 cop coil cars?

cops are coil over park plug, i think your car is 1 coil, had a 99 jeep.
and this old six still had one, coil, so does this one coil make spark
to a test spark plug, Y/N
if yes, the dizzy cap is bad or wired wrong. to plugs.
I no spark here, do the DTC scans above.!!!!!
post back results.

OBDII code P0306 describes misfire # 6 cyl or ign misfire, wires are new, coils (3) are new, rough idle on acceleration possible bad fuel injector or ???

I noticed that you didn' t mention the plugs. I'll assume that if you did wires and coils that plugs are also new, so I would say that you need to check the injector on that cylinder

Engine skipping when at an idle or at a steady running?

There are a few reasons this could happen. I would first check that you plug wires are on well. If they are I would check the plugs and replace if needed. let me know if that helps, if not let me know and I'll tell you a few other things to check

My 2003 explorer has 195000 miles, never had a problem.turned it off,sat for about 30 minutes, now it's missing like crazy

sounds like bad coil paks and plugs. if check engine light is on you need the codes and it will tell you which plug and coil pack is bad. auto zone will scan it for free and tell you which plug and coil pack

1990 Isuzu 2.6 L 5 spd. No start.. Fuel pressure is ok, not getting spark. Checked coil, ignition module, distributor, computer and coil wire. No power coming from the coil. Small voltage going into...

assuming you the coil, plugs, cap, rotor and wires are good. check the cam sensor, If you have 12 volts to the coil using a 12v light tester. The cam sensor responsible for sending info to the computer telling it that the cam is turning, then the computer tell the coil to dispurse the charge/sparks to the distributor as distributor distribute the sparks to each plugs from the rotor of the distributor. Replace the cam sensor, it tend to go bad over period of time.
