Jeep shows p1762 code only after wet weather limps, after dried and code cleared jeep drives great until it rains...

You have worn wire/s. They are inaccessible unless you remove the cross member and drop the transmission as far as it will go down. Then it is still difficult to repair the wire/s. You need a pinout of the plugs and just run a new wire. I don't have a 97. if I did, I would surely pass it on to you.

Trouble code p1762

Code p1762 is the governor pressure offset volts too high or too low. This is a transmission solenoid that probably needs replaced. I believe that you have to take the pan off to get at it.

I have a code p1762 for my 97 jeep grand cherokee

Trouble code P1762 means: Governor pressure sensor offset improper voltage. Gov. Pressure Sensor. It is located in the valve body of the transmission and requires dropping the transmission pan to replace. Sounds much more difficult than it is. Since you have to change your fluid it's a good idea to change the trans. filter .

What do these codes mean? P1763 and P1762

Those codes indicate an issue with the Governor pressure sensor and the transducer which you'll have to replace. To replace them you'll have to drop the transmission pan to see them. Remove the bolts and disconnect the wiring clips to remove them.

I have a ODB II code reader giving p1763, p1762, p0303

Your right about the two codes. It's really a transmission part.
As soon as you open up the transmission pan, it right there.
f0d99d5.jpg But, I would leave this up to a transmission place. It may need a special type of calibration tool for the new sensor.

As for PO303, that is a missfire in cylinder #3

I hope I answered your question.
