I have a 2004 chevy silverado. The blinkers are not working, cruise sometimes works and the hazards dont work. I have tried a new flasher box and have tried replacing the actual blinker handle, they are still not working. They do work sometimes when it gets really warm in my truck. Any suggestions?

Sounds like no power to the flasher module - check with a multimeter and if no power, check the module connector, fuse and power line back to the fuse box.

SOURCE: YJ Blinker Relay

Hi there,

Both the hazard and the blinker flashers are located on the fuse panel. They pull straight out.

When both turn signals fail, the cause may be a blown fuse, a faulty flasher, a broken turn signal switch or a bad connection.

When you try the turn signals, do they light up and not blink?
-If so, probably the flasher unit.

When you try the turn signals, does nothing happen?
-Check the fuse

Let me know if the problem continues after replacing the flasher.

Mike

SOURCE: 97 Chevy truck blinkers not working but hazards do

Try replacing the Flasher first before spending to much money for a possible simple fix. If it's not your flasher then it could be the turn signal leaver.
Ok, this may seem stupid, but that's what they did to the blazer. They set the flasher near the middle and under the center console behind the radio.

It's to the left of the radio right behind the dash. The hazard flasher and the turn signal flasher are side by side.  It right next to the Cig lighter behind the panel. They do mark the turn signal from the hazard flasher on the plastic behind them. Turn is on the right.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Hi Bill,I think before replacing anything else you should give that hazard switch a good workout. The switch doesn't get get used very often and the contacts get corroded and can upset the indicators.Good Luck.

SOURCE: ''VW BEETLE FLASHERS WORK BUT BLINKERS DO NOT''

Check all fuses. Use a test light to check if there is current to the rear bulbs when flashers engaged. If there is, then replace the burnt bulbs. Check for ground at the rear lights.
Do the front marker lights work when engaged??

2004 Chevy Silverado Extended cab. Why did my blinkers / hazards, interior lights, instrument cluster lights and driver window stop working?

These vehicles were known for faulty hazard switches. They would cause an intermittent turn signal flash when you hadn't activated turn signals or they would prevent the turn signals from working at all. Operate the hazard switch and see if the turn signals work again. If so, replace the hazard switch

Hi. i have a 1980 chevy elcamino. turn signal light does not flash on right side. light does come on. left side works like normal. hazards work fine....i beleave one flasher works for both sides...any...

There should be two flasher controls in your fuse box, one for the hazards and one for the blinkers. If replacing the flasher does not work, a bad ground at the signals can cause this problem.

My blinkers work sometimes and then stop working for a while, then will start working again for no reason, its very random. I dont know what i should do to get this fixed.

The turn signal flasher is bad. It is built into the hazard switch. Replace the hazard switch. The next time the turn signals quit turn the hazard switch on and off a few times and see if they start working.

Blinkers in a 1987 chevy camaro not working inside or out. what might the problem be?

Have you checked the signal light flasher?
You have one for the hazard flashers and one for the turn signals.
Try the hazard flashers.
If they work....switch that flasher with the signal flasher....(they should be interchangeable).
Follow the clicking sound to find the hazard (working ) flasher.
(It just pulls out )
To find the non working signal light flasher....just look for another flasher under the dash that looks very much like the hazard flasher.
Now try the signal lights again with the different flasher installed....do they work now?

Blinkers just stopped working changed fuses didnt work

Do the hazards work? Is it all the blinkers? If so try the flasher fuse otherwise make sure the hazard switch isn't half pressed down. Some cars you can hit the hazard switch just a little so hazards won't come on but neither will the blinkers. If it's just 1 blinker change the bulb
