The VR is integral to the powertrain control module (PCM). Are you having trouble with the alternator voltage?
yes, battery light is coming on and losing power...not everyday, but seems to be more frequent. battery and alternator have repeatedly been tested and are fine
Hi, it is unlikely that the PCM has failed, but it is easy to check. Just start the car, turn on the headlights, and check the voltage at the battery. If the voltage is at least 14.0 VDC, the computer is regulating properly. If you don't have a voltmeter, see if your local parts store will help you run this test. Assuming the PCM is good, I think you have a draw somewhere in the car. If you are good with electrical work, see my tip on finding draws here: http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5925550-dead_... Go to #4 on that page. If you are not good with electrical work, please find a good auto electrician to resolve this issue.

encrypted software ,dealer only----yes i know you are showing a reading but it doesnt mean anything or if it does it shows a different code .so your snap on or mac tools scanner is a waste of time and money.Nearly all new motors from 2005 are using encrypted software to stop general mechanics like me from working

There is an ecu flash for this repair. You may get the locks to start working again with a battery disconnect.
