Check you ecu. same problem happen to me in an izuzu rodeo. I let my fuel get to low and it sucked dirt into the filter and messed with that and it set off a code for the ecu and messed it up but if i had just replaced the ecu first i wouldnt have had to change the injectors or anything.

Dirty fuel injectors. Computer will show misfire on the cylinders that are malfunctioning. If injector cleaner in tank won't clean them, pull them all out and have a professional take them apart and cleaned. Each injector has a screen in it that can get plugged up. Think about Bro, all other stuff has been renewed.

While idling, the engine sputters. check engine light on, reading misfire in cylinder four. Have replaced both coils, all wires, and all plugs. Still no help. I've come to a dead end. Anybody with ideas?.

Hi, this may be a dirty injector. Try putting some injector cleaner in the gas tank to see if that will clear it up. If not, you may need to pull up the fuel rail and check the injector flow pattern.

how about the sparkplugs and the wires, you may need to tune it up, sounds like it misfires under a load, i would start with a tuneup and go from there. the other thing that come to mind could be a bad coil pack, or low fuel presusre,if you have the computer scanned and pin point the cylinder or cylinders misfiring you could try switching coil packs or plug wires to see if the misfire move and if it does you would know if its a wire coil or plug, but if its been a while sence you had a tune up i would start with that.

I had a similar problem in a 1994 Taurus, and after spending nearly 300$ on ignition parts, it turns out the problem was a bad spark plug wire that cost me 8.88$ to replace.

Check engine light

A multi misfire may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Faulty spark plug or wires, Faulty coil (pack), Faulty oxygen sensor(s), Faulty fuel injector(s), Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages, Faulty camshaft position sensor, Defective computer.

The engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wire, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open.

Good luck and hope this information helps, keep me posted, be glad to help you get the truck running 100% again. Not sure if your running a K&N air filter, and if you are there may be a flim of oil on the MAF sensor that is making you run lean. You may want to spray down the MAF sensor with a can of MAF cleaner.

Check the distributor cap if it was not included in coil pack.
Also check the fuel filter replace), injectors (cleaner) and fuel pump.
