Can't pull up code with OBDCOM tool

I have three warnings, "brake", "ABS", and "IMS" on my 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid, but can't pull up the codes. How much do I have to spend to get a tool that will get these codes for me? How do I know which tools will do it?

I had the same problem on my 2003 Deville- dealer said it was the antilock sensor module- cost about $2000 at the GM dealer to fix it- thank goodness for extended warranty coverage!

2008 ford escape when the abs light is on i have no brakes what can fix this

You need a mechanic with a high level scan tool to check the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and Live Data. It is probably ABS Sensor related, but should never leave you with no brakes..

Engine code P1600 and P1449

Hi:

The P1600 code is usually a IMA fault, and the P1449 code is a battery deviation fault.
Both are usually early warning of some sort of hybrid battery issues.
You need to have a system tech give the hybrid system a good look over, but most likely your IMA battery pack is most likely suspect

Honda code P0A7F

I have a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid and have had hell with it. I have also learnt much about it too.

One thing bad about the HCH2, is that the 12V battery controls the electronics, and the Hybrid battery charges the 12V battery. However the 12V battery is not charged all the time, and cannot be charged when the IMA is usually being used, and in different scenarios. (Buy a Electronic volt meter which plugs into the 12V adapter $14 Walmart))

It is possible that the 12V battery is being drained while driving and caused a voltage drop which can cause your problem. In your case, I would change the 12V battery anyway as they do not last long on Hybrids. (You may have to get Honda to trip the IMA warning lights.) In my case, changing the 12v battery helped the hybrid battery as it was the electronics reporting the charge level wrong.

Depending where you live, you will have a minimum 80,000 mile warranty on the hybrid battery.

2006 Civic Hybrid 85K miles with engine light on

Take it to a autozone and have them pull the codes and tell you what is happening, it is most likely a 02 sensor not functioning properly. But have the codes pulled right away, andthey can tell you what it might be then post the codes here then we can tell you if you should wait or not. better safe than sorry. If you drive it and it brakes and you knew the light was on and di not get it checked right away you could void the warrenty.
