What Ken I do to get my jaguar s type 2001 v8 the battery riplase and cranshaf sensor and no spark on coils

Simple fault finding will get to the fault.
Use a test lamp and voltmeter to check the power line feeding the ignition system but check the alarm first as disconnecting the battery can cause it to cut out the ignition power.

I need to remove my number 6 ignition coil but

Hello. Here is the order of things for your truck. The engine firing order for either 4.6L or 5.4L V8 is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. Cylinders are numbered, 1-2-3-4 on the passenger side bank of cylinders beginning at the front of the engine. Cylinders are numbered, 5-6-7-8 on the driver side bank again, beginning from the front of the engine to the back.
Soooooooo the number 6 is the second one from the front of the engine on the drivers side.

Missfire on number 3 coil on 2001 S type Jaguar 3.0 V6 Sport

Check the igniter module.
I assume you have a ecu code telling you #3 coil is missfiring ?
If so also check the crankshaft angle sensor .
If it is not an error code do a compression test and check the injector.
Hope this helps

GEARBOX FAULT MESSAGE for jaguar s 2001

Replace transmission and sell quickly. I bought 2001 s-type in October 2008. I have not been able to drive it. 1st thing was gearbox fault message which turned out to be transmission. Ford can rebuild cheaper. Next thing to happen was all seals needed replacing. Then all coils needed to be replaced. Coils keep going out. Needs new computer which has 8 year/80000 mile warranty on, but Jag would not honor ($3000). Needless to say my pretty jag sits in the driveway. Had to get another car. Went with Lincoln LS V8. GREAT car!
