The correct firing order for 1998 toyota avalon with a six cylinder engine

See this photo I am attaching.

In the exhaust head pipe of the engine before the first catalytic converter in the engine cylinder bank that contains the number one cylinder.

Could be bad coolant temp sensor.

The firing order is very simple. Standing at the front of the car looking at the engine, #1 plug is the left rear. #2 is the left front, #3 is the middle rear, #4 is the middle front, #5 is the right rear and #6 is the right front. Most all Toyota's with a side mounted engine follow this pattern.

The number 1 cylinder is located at the rear left of the engine, looking from front to back of the vehicle.

I have 220,000 miles on mine and the only thing was routine maintenance until last fall when I got a check engine and both 2 and 3 cylinders were miss firing... its a sensor of some kind and i still have not gotten it fixed...shame on me. still runs fine just uses more fuel and does not have the git up and go at 60 to 65 mph. besides that I love it and will drive it until it runs no more.......

firing order is 1/3/4/2

BUT SHOULD BE 1-2-3-4-5-6
IT SOUNDS DAFT BUT THAT IS FOR ENGINE CODES 5VZ-FE AND 1MZ-FE AND 3VZ-FE
ALL ARE V6 ENGINES WITH THE SAME FIRING ORDER CYLINDER NUMBERS ARE ARRANGED LIKE THIS 1 3 5

Your Toyota Avalon has a 6 cylinder motor.This means it has 6 cylinders.Hope this helps.

Hi. The firing order is: 1 - 3 - 4 - 2

Cylinder one is at the crank pulley side of the engine, 4 is next to the transmission.
