    tuned up and changed air filter but has rough idle.

Did what in a tuneup? If done yourself, are you sure everything is connected correctly? Spark plug leads?
Was it running OK before the tuneup?
Was the throttle/ throttle body touched at all?
Carbon can build up in the throttle body of the Corolla, which (will/ may) eventually interfere with the throttle butterfly seating properly. Too much air is available at idle, can cause rough running.
If the idle bypass air was "adjusted" at tuneup, maybe it was incorrectly done.
Did anyone change the spark setting?

Rough idle after tune-up Last year had tune-up on '03 Ford Explorer which had 70,000 miles on it. It idled smoothly and quietly before tune-up. Now the idle is rough - vibrates. Took back twice
did you replace the plugs,wires? a bad plug o wire can cause a bad idle. Vacum leak could do it too.

Rough idle 95 astro van, I did a full tune up , plugs,wires,cap, rotor,air filter,and fuel filter and cleaned egr vavle.
I actually had to replace my EGR valve and the gasket. I clean the valve well and reused both. I don't think the gasket sealed well enough though. So I went ahead and got a new valve, gasket and changed them. It runs a lot smoother now.

My Chevy 2500, 2001 runs rough when it cold outside
It can be issue with low fuel pressure,the fuel pump is getting old both needs to be checked.Also get the IAC valve checked.

Rough idle and stalls
sounds like a bad idle air control valve, but if its misfiring thats another ball game,then you may have a bad spark plug or plug wire.when was the last time this car was tuned? if its been a while then you may what to start with a complete tune up, also have the fuel preasure check as this would also cause this problem but if it rides fine and only runs rough at idle then its not the pump.now we are back at a tune up.

My 01 Jaguar XJR started having a rough idle.
you may need a tune-up what you do is at night start the car with hood open and look at all the wires and see if they are sparking if so then tune the car up.start here frist,good luck hope this helps.

Rough idle hyundai accent
Hi, how many miles are on the vehicle? First thing would be a tune up. Then from there it could be a lot of things. dirty fuel injectors etc. Start with the easy stuff like tune up and fuel additive and progress from there.
