This is a chat room.not a business
Most of us, suggest removing the door pane,l and replacing the window regulator yourself.
That is not a job most professionals want ,or do well.

Ok well this is my first bmw do i need any special tools for the door panels

  • Anonymous Oct 01, 2010

A tool to get under the door panel fastners, sometimes called christmas trees, will help remove them. Some will always break and need to be purchased in a box of 20 only at an auto body paint and supply wholesaler
You will want long sleeves and wear gloves, as much as possible while working inside the door,as it has sharp edges.
The tools you can pick from are avail from tool trucks (snap-on etc) ,body supplies and maybe auto parts store

2000 ford f250 passanger side window wont go up

Check the wires on the driver's door between the door and the post. A break in a wire will affect the passenger side.

My driver side front window does not come down but the passanger side front and back and driver back do go up and down. Do i need to change the power window motor or is it the window regulator for driver...

regulator usually wears out and breaks or gets bound and burns up motor, change them both if available. Good sign of bad regulator is sloppy window in track, or window off track. I always replace them together if they are available. it is possible that you just need a switch, but most likely the reg/motor.

1998 BMW 740i - I had a brake light out, replaced it, it won't

check where the wires go from the inside of the body to the out around the gromet. I did run into one that the wires rubbed. Also if the light are on the trunk lid check where they go through the trunk latch.

1998 528 i BMW.Where do I begin?

look for screws on the handle inside or under the arm rest next pop a corner of the panel away its normaly held on with door clips they are a little hard to pop off you might break a few but local dealer should have more most likely some will break if the window wont go up you probaly have a bad motor or window regulator if window goes up slow then stops its more than likely a motor possibility of having a bad window switch

I have problem; bmw e46 2000 model rear electric windows fuse-ok

it is most likely the window switch, motor, or most likely the lifter assemby. The lifters are a known issue with the windows. If you have a meter you can check the power delivery to the motor contacts (rear door panel removal required). If you don't have a meter then you can try to listen for the motor to engage when you press the button. To check the button, you again need a meter to check continuity. Remove the centre concole, disconnect wiring harness from button, and depress. With a meter attached you can tell if it's making contact. Often, because of the locatin of the bottoms, they can get dirty or damaged and require replacement. Once you've isolated the faulty component, a good source for the replacement parts is Pelican. http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/catalog/shopcart/BE46/POR_BE46_ELswch_pg5.htm
