Hello, There is not a heater valve, the temperature of the heater output is controlled by directing the air flow either through or around the heater core or somewhere in between depending on what temperature you want. There are actuators on the passenger side attached to the programmer. Remove the glove box and lower closeout panel on the passenger side with key on change temp setting and they should move, the lower one is for the driver side. These actuators were a high failure item.

I have a 1984 cadillac deville small plastic piece inline with heater core hoses leaking ..at back of air filter on top...what is this piece called?

probably your heater control valve. below is a replacement from autozone, but yours may look different. If it isn't the control valve, maybe it's a splice someone put in. The control valve is the only thing that comes stock in the heater hose.

What fuse controls the 1999 Cadillac DeVille's heater fan? My heater fan doesn't work.

The fan assembly is under the glove compartment. Remove cover[3 scews] unplug electrical connector. then remove the 3 bolts that hold the fan assembly in the housing. take motor apart and clean check brushes in brush holder, then sand the armature where the brushes ride. Stretch spring on brushes , the put the motor back together. works 95% of the time.

My 95 deville makes a rattling sound from the engine compartment after the engine is warm

Is this during idle or while driving ? My older GM cars were prone to collapsed hydraulic valve lifters....usually from wear or lack of oil pressure to the lifters while idling.
If you hear this only while driving or accellerating.... it's likely a spark knock sound (Engine internal damage likely if you leave this situation unchecked) It may be a 'timing' problem. Get help soon !

check fan fuses and relays. is the idiot light coming on . stop engin temp. if its coming on unplug it . its located behind the rear valve cover in the middle. if that isnt it replace temp sensor. located below the air breather.

Front tires leak air daily.

i dont remember the 95 caddy with pressure monitors id say try your valve stems or the valves themselves to make sure that they are tight. replace any stem caps that are missing.
