2005 BMW 530I INFORMATION CENTER

LAST NIGHT I STARTED MY CAR AND THE INFORMATION SCREEN DID NOT COME ON AND THE RADIO, CD PLAYER DOES NOT WORK. ALSO, THE CAR USE TO MAKE A DING NOISE WHEN YOU PLACED THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, NOW SURE IF THIS COULD BE A FUSE OR SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS. IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT MY WARRENTY JUST WENT OUT 79 MILES AGO. CAN ANYONE COMMENT ON THIS OR HAS SOMEONE HAD A SIMULAR PROBLEM.

Its either a fuse or a relay which you will find under your hood in the black box labled Relay Center

does it happen more if it has rained......water ingress into the lcm in near side kick panel iirc usually gives these symptons. check all eaths are secure, usually a cluster point just behind the glove box

Why my radio turns on and off

when my BMW ash trays are full , i buy a new car.
LOL
1: bad fuse, (loose or cracked)
2: bad radio wires connections.
3; bad radio. (we bench test the radio to prove that)

I just bought my 2004 BMW 530i with 78000 km's. while playing radio and cd, a static sound starts interupting the music and keeps happening every 6-10 seconds. it's very annoying! any solutions or reasons...

sounds like a grounding problem. need to check if any after market stuff was added first

2003 530i..CD Player doesnt have a CD in it but

Try disconecting the battery that should do the trick if not the radio could be shot out.

call a BMW dealer and talk to either your salesman or parts. ask them if they can run your VIN to see if it is prewired for a CD changer (assuming you don't see the wiring in the rear compartment). all they will need is the last 7 digits of the VIN.

BMW does sell an IPOD controller, but i think DICE makes a better one. check them out here:

hello mate

there are fuses in the glove box,

open glove box and look to the roof of it, you should see two white latches, turn them and it will fall down and you will be able to see the fuses...

BMW 530i Sound not working on Audio

This is because of the cs changer which is mounted in the boot of your cars , this happens when there is any vibration in the car or the wiring is shorted please get it checked .....................
