NO,it came on cos you have a problem either with the sensor or the airbag,or the wiring but whatever it aint something you can do yourself, unless you have a diagnostic computer.

1st things 1st, clean that throttle body. Clean with throttle body cleaner with the battery disconnected. Must be shiny like new. When finished drive with all the accesories OFF for about 5-7 miles, this way your computer will relearn the newly cleaned throttle body correctly.
As far as the airbag light, could be many things. You didn't mention this....does the airbag light go off when the power is restored? The airbag is nothing to mess with, if it goes on again, you can take it to a shop that can communicate with the airbag control module. Will narrow down exactly where the fault is.
I WOULD NEED TO RESEARCH THE ACCENT A LITTLE MORE BUT MOST NEWER VEHICLES NOW HAVE A WEIGHT ACTIVATED SWITCH IN THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT TO PROVIDE UNWANTED DEPLOYMENT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WHEN NO ONE WAS SITTING IN IT USUALLY AROUND SEVENTY POUNDS TO ACTIVATE OTHERWORDS YOU DO NOT WANT TO DISABLE DUE TO LIABILTY ISSUES

Since you have listed this Accent as a 2006 AND 2007, Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.
Airbag light came on for me shortly after buying it... apparently a bad censor but came on again shortly afterwards... Apparently the car is known to have a bad sensor somewhere for the airbags.
If the check engine light stays on it has something to do w/ your fuel line... be it anywhere from the cap all the way to the tip of your exhaust. When it FLASHES there's something MAJORLY wrong, like mine likes to misfire lately....
I believe there was a recall on the headlight wires and safteybelt sensor?
I would advise getting the dealer to check it. Some small local shops will cut the light off, but there have been cases where the air bag can go off for no reason, and potentially cause a saftey issue. I would say to get it check for your saftey. An airbag light can also be a forwarning to a potential computer problem. Good luck, and be careful.
seems to be my mantra this time of year (condensation). check the relay for the airbags... be advised because it is the airbag... to prevent accidental deployment of the airbag when you replace the relay... unhook the battery while you do that.
