P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction, this comes on anytime a problem is sensed in the transmission
P0705 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit malfunction(PRNDL Input)
this means that the circuit that signals the transmission control module when u slect a gear (Drive reverse etc.) has a problem, this can be the range selector switch or the wiring connector or the control module, in order to pin down which part is causing the fault code the Chevy dealer must hook up a scan tool called a "Tech II" and read the transmission data as the different gear requests are made.

I have a 2003 chyrsler 300m it went in limp mode codes p0700. P0340 p0344 p0430 p0888 came up cleared the codes and now it knocks.

clearing codes wont correct the problem and limp mode is designed to protect motor and transmission - p0700 is a transmission problem
P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction p0340 is camshaft position sensor malfunction
https://www.obd-codes.com/p0340 p0344 is also a camshaft position sensor circuit problem
P0344 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent your p430 is a cat converter problem
https://www.obd-codes.com/p0430 and p0888 is transmission relay problem these reasons are limp mode the knock can be fuel not burning correctly or a lower engine knock can mean you damaged a piston

2001 mitsubishi galant 2.4l p0135, p0705, p0715, p0720. Stuck in limp mode.

either fit a manual gearbox or change the control computer for the autobox,no work then do what i did and buy a old van and do kerbside mechanics better than nothing , i know when its raining and cold but at least you will earn a living and buy your spares from a autofactor and not a corner shop

Po705 code goes to limp mode start off in low gear & shift to drive car goes fine no issue. arrow still blinks thanks.

#p0705 the on board computer is not receiving any input from the Transmission Range sensor.Check wire harness and plugin at sensor for any damage or maybe it just came unpluged. If no damage could be found and it was pluged in propperly, then replace the sensor. Good Luck and have a good XMASS.

Hi ! I have a 2006 Chevy Equinox, I lose power to trans untill the truck barely wants to move after 2bks or so. p0700 / p0705 are the codes that have come up. We replaced the tcm (p0700). p0705 comes up...

Since this vehicle does have a possible reprogramming issue, before I spent any money on parts, let them hook their scanner(in this case it going to be the tech 2 with downloadable info from a mainframe to reprogram) and see if there are any other under lying codes or info. What this means is that they have the ability to read and interpret live data to pin point the issue. the code may be merely a reference point. There may also be a TSB regarding this issue. Start at the dealer, then work on replacement of parts. Always start with information first. Sometimes we are suprised by what we find. Let me know what they say and if you need anything else.
