Hi! I have an audi a3 sline 56 plate and recently the dis did not come on after the engine was started and the clocks didnt work and neither did the lights on the climate controls. the heating still kept working even though i could tell what temp it was at. Then just as strangely it started working again. Today the lights would not turn off when left in auto mode and the car was exited. Could anyone shed any light?\r\ncheers!!

you have left a wiring loom connection off from the sound of it ,no idea where but have a good look tomorrow,best of british with it

First check the fluid level and make sure it is correct. If it's good you will then need to go to the dealership to have the codes pulled. I hope the problem is the fluid because it will be expensive otherwise.

whoever hooked up you hids might have taped into the relay or fuse to the wipers and its not giving enough power to wipers

Check both ends of battery's earth lead.
Remove, clean all surfaces with emery/sand paper, replace and seal with grease or vasaline.
If this is not the fault - it worth doing and eliminates something.

Hi Kristopher, A shudder from the manual transmission is usually caused from a defective part in the clutch assembly. It could be caused by uneven wear of the pressure plate (clutch cover) or wear on the clutch plate boss (The center of the clutch plate with the springs or rubbers which absorb the torque when releasing the pedal) A shudder can be generated from a defective engine or gear box mount, worn CV joints or spiders or a loose bell housing. Start with the last suggestion and work backwards as the clutch replacement will require the most work. If the clutch assembly has been replaced recently, and the parts available are of the same quality we receive where I am, you will need to do the job over. Regards John

contact audi with model number of car check for power at rear motor there might be a wiper relay does rear washer work should be two fuse panel one under the hood as well as one inside

No.# 31 fuse (25A - white colour) placed in the engine bay fuse box / relay plate, is for the front windscreen wipers for an Audi A3 2005 2.0 TDI. See pictures below:

cant remember ,sure it unclips and then the cover pulls backwards

I had that and was told to turn the key back 1-2 mm after starting... worked for me.
