Hi.
P0650 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit
This indicates that a malfunction in the control circuit that monitors devices and turn on the MIL has been detected. Often the problem is only temporary, if it does occurr with regularity, the PCM may need replacement. Here the problem explained.
P0705 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input)
Usually the TRS (transmission range sensor) must be replaced. Common problem on Verona and Forenza.
The TRS job is around $200/$250. The PCM is expensive. I think there is a long warranty on the TRS, up to 7 years. Contact the dealer and find out if it does apply.
Hi.
TRS is located on top of the transmission switch, operatedto the transmission switch lever.
Here procedure:
RemovalDisconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the park/neutral position switch electrical connector.
Disconnect the shift control cable and the retaining clip.
Remove the shift lever nut and the shift lever.
Remove the park/neutral start switch. Installation Tools Required: DW260-050 P/N Switch Installer
refitting Install the park/neutral start switch.
Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) .
Adjust the park/neutral switch using the P/N switch installer DW260-050.
Install the shift lever and the shift lever nut.
Tighten the shift lever nut to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) .
Connect the shift control cable and the retaining clip.
Connect the park/neutral position switch electrical connector.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Hi I uploaded a bulletin with the job done on a Forenza. I don't have the Verona one, but the job is done the same way.

Hi.
Thanks for the feedback. I forgot to comment about the remotes not working. Check the battery just in case. Remotes that both stopped working in cohincidence of a code concerning PCM is not a good sign.Try resetting PCM by disconnecting batteries. You may be asked stereo code after disconnecting.
If problem comes back, PCM may also have a problem.
Good luck with the repair.
Ginko.
My last comment was a bit confused.
Note: check remote batteries and change them to reset the remote. Disconnect car battery terminals to reset PCM.
Bye.

Hi.
P0404 is Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Circuit Range/Performance, it is the system that recirculates gases from the exhaust back in the engine through a valve.
The PCM (powertrain control module) is the car main computer, also called ECU or ECM.
