My 93 cadillac seville blower motor was staying on .so i disconnected the conector to the motor under the hood. i found that there was battery voltage on connector. then i jumpered the battery to terminal on the blower motor. the blower motor started turning without other terminal being grounded or connected to anything. could this indicate a short in the blower motor somewhere. if i operate the switches inside the car i didn,t get a voltage change of any sort on the blower motor connector. do most blower motors than work off of a current change? i had this problem many years ago and it wouldn,t show any changes to control the motor, voltage wise and we had considered wiring changes, a new switch ,(god bless the old days of a simple make or break contact), or blower motor we finally chose blower and it worked. thaats why i asked about the current control cause in those days they didn,t have such an idea. maybe things are still the same
