Well you can do this by unpluging ur both battries. but i think its better if u do it through the device. just unplug both ur battries and when u have unpluged them both ground the positive to the body .

    Well it doesnt seem like a programming fault. could be somthing like a blown fuse or a harness damage. check for the fuse first.

WHY HAFT TO RESET ???

    I was trying to reset main computer because.On the drivers door the window, and the seat control should doiwn. One day the memory seat control wouldn't work it seized up. It was hard to push, and wouldn't work. I think it may of shorted out and shut down the control on the door???

did a hard reset of main computer cables ????? What are you talking about ? That won't do anything , you need to take it to the dealer where they can hook up factory scanner ,you have no ideal of the complexity of the computer systems .

Reset mini computer
And your question?
You can do a basic system reset by removing the Neg battery terminal for about 30sec. This will reset the main computer to normal factory settings. It will NOT change, update, or install new engine programs, nor will it increase performance in any way. It will just reset the main computer.

Oil leakage on Mercedes Benz 5.0L engines
oil in the bell housing can be rear main seal and it can also be input shaft seal in the gear box if manual. The sump bolts on the rear main cap and will leak next to the bell housing indicating a main seal . If auto then the seal on the converter will leak and the oil will leak out of the bell housing. If you are convinced that it is a main seal then check that there is no crankcase pressure issues to make it leak. Change the engine oil and clean the area and if the oils is clean then that will indicate engine or gear box. Put a white chalk line across any oil paths and watch for it to cross the chalk and change the chalk colour.

changing the battery resets all kinds of systems. the dealer or a good MB shop may need to reset the modules. your question is very vague, some MB have 2 batteries.

If you are turning in the vehicle in 3 months I wouldn't worry about changing the oil. In the old days, they use to say change it every 6,000 miles and then as a way to make more money, they started saying every 3,000 miles. But if you really want to reset your computer, unplug your negative cable from your battery terminal and leave it off for five minutes. On a mercedes, they are very advanced piece of work, but doing this may give you another message regarding losing power, so do this at your own risk.

Auto electrical problems with 02 MB E320
Hi, you will have to get your car pluged into a Diagnostic computer with MB software.
It may just be a case of reseting the system.
But if it comes to the worst one of the SAM (can system) units has gone a little faulty & can only be replaced & reprogramed using MB computer system at a Merc garage or a top Diagnostic garage.
