The brake light can come on for two reasons. I is the brake pedal is engaged witch you have found is not the case. The other is because the brake fluid is low or the sensor that monitors brake fluid level is defective.

Check the brake fluid level, if its full unplug the switch and see if it goes out. I'm not sure if the switch completes the circuit when the level is low or opens the circuit but its worth a shot.

I relize that the parking brake does not use fluid but the brake light is used to warn you that either the parking brake is engaged or the brake fluid is low. If either of these is the case than the same brake warning light will turn on. So since you know its not the e-brake than the next step is to check the fluid and/or the fluid level sensor.

My friend changed da break booster on my 94 chevy s10 p/u. Now da rear lights stays on even if all da light switches is off... need help.

Is it your brake lights? That would be the brake light switch on the brake pedal needing adjustment. If it's your park lights, a different problem-not associated with the work that was done, or shouldn't have affected it, anyway.
