I have a audi a4 2.4 2000 avant. a orange light came on . triangle with circle around it and this ! in the middle of it. please help

Yellow circle, with triangle and exclamation mark – The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) dashboard light flashes if the ESP or traction control is activated whilst driving. If ESP or traction control has been switched off, it will light up continuously. If ESP or traction control is not turned off and the warning light illuminates continuously, it indicates a problem and malfunction with either ESP or traction control.

What does a red circle with a red triangle an ! Inside triangle mean on a 2004 audi

Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP)

The light will flash if you are driving and the traction control system is activated (it detects wheel slip on ice, water, etc.). This just tells you it is actively working. You should adjust your driving to the current road conditions to prevent loss of control.

If it stays on continuously, the traction control system (ESP) is off, or there is a problem with the ESP system. Usually, the ABS light will also illuminate if the ESP light is on due to a fault.

Traction control light flashes and abs activates, slows car down, pulsates car

I would take it to someone who has a code reader, or to a dealer, I would not trust the vehicle for very far or very fast if you did have to drive it to where it will be worked on. It may even be safer to have it put on a rollback wrecker and taken to the shop.I don't like to make suggestions of driving a vehicle when it pertains to the braking system. I hope I have been of some assistance.

Service traction light keep coming on and the traction active light when backing up, making right turns, and just driving.

This light is telling you that there is an electronic fault that only a "scan" tool can decipher. Ask your friends who their mechanic is, have it scanned, and have it serviced. Problems like this cannot be repaired over the internet.

What it means is when you are driving and the road is wet or slippery, the traction control feature activates so you won't slip or hydroplane when you are stepping on the brakes. good luck ms pretty...

Traction Active light comes on

1prettysmile,
The "traction active" light is a light that lets you know when a certain part of your Anti lock break system engages. Each tire has a sensor that detects a couple different things in the wheels. One of the sensors may be going bad and needs replaced. Any of these sensors going bad can cause those symptoms.
