This is a known problem and has been increasingly noted by sedona owners. Steering shaft becomes corroded making vehicle steer hard. They say due to salt but if you live anywhere it snows you cant avoid it.

Some modern cars have an electrically driven pump to supply high pressure oil to operate the power steering. However, most cars have an oil pump for the steering which is turned by a belt from the crankshaft pulley. If the belt is loose or slipping, heavy steering will be the result, especially noticable at low speeds. Check belt for tightness, and check oil level is not low, possibly due to a leak?

Kia Sedona hard to turn (2006)

Hi
If your system has leaked fluid out when you've topped it back up it could have caused an airlock in the system this can usually be rectified by turning the steering wheel from lock to lock several times whilst the vehicle is stationary this usually pushes the air out but keep checking the fluid bottle as the level will drop whilst its getting rid of any air !
Hope this helps Nick

My power steering on my 2007 KIA Sedona LX requires a lot of effort and is worse especially when driving out of a parking spot.

Try checking the fluid level in the power steering pump. It's the same as checking motor oil. There will be a dip stick somewhere near the serpentine belt. Check it while warm (engine at operating temperature). If it is low, refill it. If that does nothing. You may have burned up the pump and it would need to be replace. Thanks for asking.

KIA SEDONA HAS REAR HEAT BUT NOT FRONT HEAT BLOWERS WORK BUT ONLY COLD AIR COMES IN FRONT

This could be a serious problem. Check your coolant level, then check the rear heater lines that supply coolant to the rear heater. They run under the van, over time they rust and leak. Because it is under and to the rear of the van it is hard to notice, i.e. coolant puddles and smell. But please note that this engine has aluminum cylinder heads and does not take kindly to being overheated.

Power steering is stiff some times on my kia sedona

It might be a failing power steering rack as well...classic symptoms are very stiff when first starting vehicle or at a stoplight, then loosens up as rpms increase.

Kia sedona 2004 steering wheel would not

sounds like either the power steering pump or the power steering rack is failing.
