replace battery cables could have bad ground cable.if see dash lights on when turn ignition to on position.check starter fuse or relay or remove starter check for faulty starter solenoid or starter.if starter okay and fuse starter relay okay ignition fuse and switch okay see dash lights could have problem in the theft security system need have vechicle code scan see if theft security fault code show up.
find fuse for the security system under hood if remote or switch does not turn it off pull this fuse out light should be out on dash when u find the right one then open door turn ignition switch on not crank just power on then replace security fuse then try to crank if dont work pull fuse again and the main 50 amp fuse that sends power to everything turn switch on leave door open replace fuses in proper places and then crank
remove your radio, there will be 2 bolts to undo, switch will slide into dash, unplug harness turn key to remove cable, if ignition wont turn you may have to take ignition apart to remove cable. reinstall in reverse procedure. will need to relearn new key to be able to start. try to start, leave key in run position, theft/security light will be blinking. leave on for 15 min or light stops blinking, turn off turn back to run without trying to start. leave on for another 15 min. turn off then start
IF DASH LIGHTS LIGHTING UP.PROBLEM GOT TO BE IN STARTER RELAY OR FUSE, THE CAR COULD BE IN THEFT SECURITY MODE.WHICH WILL DISABLE STARTER AND FUEL PUMP.HAVE CAR CODE SCANNED FOR THEFT SECURITY MODE.IF DASH DONT LIGHT UP WHEN YOU TURN IGNITION KEY.YOU COULD HAVE BAD BATTERY CABLES.LOOK FOR BLOWN IGNITION FUSE.IF FUSE OKAY, YOU COULD HAVE FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH.
WHEN YOU SEE SECURITY WARNING LIGHT.YOUR IS BCM FAULTY OR IGNITION KEY OR IGNITION SWITCH IS WORN UNTIL A POINT WHERE THE BCM AND THE PCM DONT RECOGNIZE THE KEY OR IGNITION SWITCH.SO IT GOES INTO SECURITY MODE THINKING CAR BEING STOLEN.CAUSING SECURITY LIGHT TO COME ON.THIS IS A DEALERSHIP FIX.NOT CHEAP FIX.COST $500.00 THEY WILL HAVE TO GO IN DASH.IF ITS YOUR BCM. BUT THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACE BCM OR IGNITION KEY AND SWITCH.THEY WILL HAVE TO REPROGRAM THEM TO THE BCM AND PCM SO YOUR CAR WILL START AGAIN.
most probable cause could be a faulty ignition switch. Does the lights on the dash come on when you turn the key to the on position ? Do they turn off when you turn the car to the start and are about to crank the engine ? If that does not happen you will have to replace the Ignition switch. They don't have a fuse for the dash lights.
