On a 1985 toyota corolla the dash lights and tail lights don't work. The break lights do work. Is this a fuse? Is it on the same fuse? were is the fuse located for this? the one by the battery does not seem to have any blown fuses.

Hi, I have only the diagram for a 1988 Corolla. Yours maybe different. If it is, I recommend checking the library for a Haynes or Chilton manual for your car. Tail lights and instrument lights is fuse #8.

Check the tail lights/ park lights fuse in the fusebox under the dash. It's the same one that feeds the dashlights.

Your dash lights and tail lights are two different circuit's.The dash could be a fuse or it maybe your circuit board that lights up your lights. You can test this by testing all of your fuses simple test light that can be purchased at your local auto parts store. As for your brake lights its maybe a few things. One is all of your lights may have blown at the same time (it happens). Two is locate the brake relay and test with a test light. Most common is locate your brake light switch. That may have gone bad. There is also a rubber or felt like spacer on your brake light switch that may need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

The circuits are on two different fuses, but both are controlled by the headlight switch. I would check for power at those fuses then at the switch.

I just bought a 2006 Toyota Corolla S, and my dash lights and tail lights wont come on. All the other lights work, such as the headlights, break lights, turn signals, four ways, front fog lights and...

the tail light issue could be just bad bulbs, check them with a meter ,, also, check the sockets for power to each contact point,, normally if the brake lights and flashers are working, the tail lights should too,, as far as the dash lights have you installed an after market stereo? If so a common problem is a wrong wire got grounded,The harness from the car to the factory radio has a wire for the dash lights that shows up as ground with the light off. When the lights are on the wire is 12V+. Check to see if you connected the ground from the new stereo to this wire. The radio will work perfect but everytime you turn thr park light on the fuse will blow...and the radio will continue to work. There should be a ground wire in the harness as well, ensure you connect the ground from the new stereo to this wire. there is a 15 amp fuse that blows, check them with a meter rather than by sight

Toyota Corolla 2006; Dash lights not working and tail lights not working. Checked all small fuses under the hood and under the steering wheel inside the car. I don't know which fuse engages the tail...

I had the same issues. Dash dead, tail lights dead. Fuses were fine, Dimmer relay was fine...So I got to the Tail Light Relay.

Removed the glove box, one screw on the right. Reach up (above the space where the glove box 'area' would be and there are 3 or 4 relays all sitting on top of a junction box. All of them were loose. I pushed them in...and voila! I was getting scared after the obvious.

My Brake and Tail light fuses keep going out in my 97 Corolla

sounds like a bare wire shorting out the system against metal somewhere. Try looking for any pinched wires under the hood as a start
