My brake lights went out on my 2004 dodge Durango an know it wont come out of park any ideas?????

sounds like the brake switch on top of brake pedal arm is bad. if this switch fails there will be no brake lights, and it will not come out of park. because you have to put foot on brake to take it out of park. its a safety measure. good-day ! or it could be out of adjustment too.
