2002 honda civic the srs light is on, which plug in can I put a jumper in under passenger seat to eliminate light temporarily? I cant remember the exact way I did this but I have gone to the computer plugin and jumped between two connectors to eliminate the light but it comes back on after a couple of starts of the car

The SRS light refers to your airbags. You can try reseting the light by going to the webpage that I will give you. If it comes back on after you reset it then there is a problem with your SRS system and you will need to have it diagnosed as your airbags will not function when the light is on. Hi, this is usually caused by an accident. What happens in such a case is the pre-tensioners in the seat belts are activated when the impact sensors are activated. The SRS control unit is blown when this happens to make sure that the SRS system operates correctly after repairs. You will need to replace the SRS control unit and the seat belts.

I'm having the same problem, my SRS light is on too. Just so you know, I just got a thing in the mail from Honda for my 2001 Honda Civic DX Sedan for a recall on the airbag system (SRS is part of the same system as airbags, I think). Hope this gives you a bit more info!!
