My guess would be the turn signal switch. The third brake light does not go thru the signal switch but power for the brake lights do.
You would want to check for power in and out of the multi-function switch with a meter.
It is located beside the emergency brake pedal and is the approx. 3/4" square fuse. turn on your signal light and hold on to it you will feel it click.(Addendum) The replacement may only have 3 working prongs; the 4th prong on mine had a soldered connector but wasn't connect to anything. I also had to remove the left kick panel to get to it; a simple operation.
There are a number of possibilities. 1. If the compressor has a clutch, do you hear it engaging and disengaging? 2. The valve controlling the hot water going to the heater which mixes warm air with the cold air from the evaporator, is not working properly so it si not maintaining proper temperature. 3. THe temperature sensor that senses air temp at the intake to the AC in the cabin is defective. 4. THis is too comlicated to fix yourself, so you need to take it to an AC expert who knows this particular model.
Turn signals flash rapidly if your say left signal circuit is not getting enough voltage. Check and clean all the contacts both front and rear systems. Make sure that the sockets the bulbs go into are clean. Check after you clean and the flasher should slow down and you lights should be brighter. Simply put the 12 volt lights are only getting a lot less than 12 volts.

I believe your car has 2 flashers, one hazard, one turn signal. Check the turn signal flasher to see if it's bad. Located driver side, upper steering column under dash. To make sure u check the correct flasher, try using the hazards after removal of flasher, so u know u have removed the correct one. Let me know how u do.
