Will I need a caliper reset tool kit to change the brakes on my 2007 toyota sienna or will a standard c-clamp do the job? And since it is an ABS system, I assume that brakes must be bled, correct?

How do I change the rear brakes on a 2005 Audi A6? I have the pads and am ready to go, but I cannot get the piston on the rear brakes to compress. Is it just a matter of compressing it with C-clamps or...

You must be very careful or this brake job will get very costly, depending on the brake system on this car, one you may have the caliper type that you need to use a tool that turns the caliper piston while it slowly compresses it, then you may have the style caliper with electronic praking brake actuator then you will need a scan tool to do the job, hopefully you did not damage the piston, hope this helps,if theres a small module box on the caliper then you will need scan tool. if it just the caliper with a emergency brake cable going to it then you need the tool that turns the piston by the notches on the face of piston.

Changing the rear disk brakes on a 06 toyota sienna, what is the process?

-Set up jack and properly block front tires.

-Do not set parking break as this may hender removing the rear calipers. Open hood and remove the brake resevoir cap.

-Remove hubcaps if applicable,

-Loosen Lugnuts but do not remove,

-Jack up van,

-Remove tire.

-Caliper should be visible. There are two bolts or hex heads on the back side that can be a pain to remove sometimes.

-Pull the caliper off the rotor, It is recomended to have the rotors turned or replaced. With the old pad still in place, take a c clamp or brake caliper squeezer and compress the caliper

-remove old pad, take note for the reinstall of the new pad.

-reverse the steps. This is a simple break down. Hope it helps

I want to overhaul my brake system or at least the

you can start with a metric wrench set/socket set/C clamp/pry bar/hammer/vise grips and a couple nylon zip tie's to hold the calipars
out of the way till it's they're turn now as for parts start with what you've
listed + brake fluid rear wheel cylinders + spring kits make sure the kit
comes with the adjuster wheels or you'll have to get them seperatly
also a brake spring removel/install tool the parts guy/gal will know
what you mean a wire brush dust mask and a small tub of white lube
and last but definetly not least a haynes repair manual for your trk.
it's about $10.00 and will give you the step by steps + diagrams
for this job + many others that may come up in the future.
hope this helps any other ? gimme a shout good luck

Are there any special tools needed to change the brakes on a 2006 toyota sienna? Standard two bolts that hold it on?

You will probably not need anything other than a metric socket wrench set.

Many Toyota models have disc brake calipers that will flip up or down when you remove one of the two bolts that hold the calipers on. I am not sure of the setup on the Sienna.

When you remove either the upper or lower bolt and move the caliper, you can then remove the old pads. Also, you will need to push the piston(s) back into their cylinders to give you enough space to install the new pads. A large C clamp will usually suffice to push in the pistons.

I assume that you are talking about the front (disc) brakes. Some autos still have drum brakes on the rear, and those are a different story. They require several specialty tools to remove and replace the shoes.

How to do front brake on 2008 toyota sienna

No special tools at all. Are you familiar with doing brakes? I wouldnt recommend it for a first timer, its not worth the lives of you and others. Ive also seen people take the wrong bolt out of calipers and spend triple what a brake job cost because they werent experienced and wanted to save a buck. A 17mm and pad spreader or big channel locks is all you need. Use Toyota pads and have the rotors cut..OR... Dont complain when they make noise all the darn time!

Brake rotors

Are there small retainer clips on the studs still? More than likely its just rust built up on the center hub. Take some sand paper to the center hub, as long as e-brake is released and caliper is off, it will come off. I'm not familar with the toyota sienna's but if they have internal drum e-brakes, I would back off the adjuster if they do.
