Bought a Veracruz GLS 2008. Since day one, the TPMS (Tire Pressure) warning light turns on when I drive. It will flicker, and then stay lit, turning off during the drive and then sometimes turning back on. I've brought into the dealership for service, and they couldn't detect anything wrong with the tires, and reset the TPMS module. However, the warning light continues to turn on and off. Is this safe to drive?
Keep taking it back to the dealer until the fix it or give you a new car. Not that it's an immediate safety issue, it's just something that's supposed to be functioning properly. They have to address it because cars are legally required to have TPMS systems for safety. If a safety mehanism fails in your car, you can claim it is a safety issue. If you keep having problems with the TPMS light, you'll eventually ignore it. Then one day you'll have a tire going flat and you wouldn't know it.

I have had the same problem. They just keep telling me that the tire pressure fluxuates (sp?). Something tells me, that's not it....I'll keep taking it back. Another problem I have is that I can not seen to get audio out of the auxillary jacks in the rear entertainment system. Two different dealerships have not found the problem. I think it's in the wiring, but they don't want to acknowledge that...I had it in the shop today and will be taking it back tommorrow. Anyone else having the audio problem?
I recent purchased a 2007 Sonata and the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) light is on. I took it in and all they did was reset it. However, it came back on within a day or so. It's my understanding that the TPMS light is for the system that monitors the tire pressure and not the tire pressure itself - you would get a different light for incorrect tire pressure if the TPMS is working correctly. This seems to be a big misconception in posts I've seen. I currently have the car in service again to see if they can find the problem, but I don't have much faith that they will. Seems to be a "bug."
Same problem. Dealer says there is nothing they can do and recommends overinflating the tires!
i just bought 2008 hyundai Sonata and for some reason i get tpms light. Until this morning i had this "TPMS (!)" light on and after i got the pressure for all four tires equal, the little "(!)" sign disappeared but the TPMS light still stays on. I am just confused about if the TPMS light is supposed to stay on.I tried to take it to dealer but since i didnt buy from hyundai dealer they are charging me a lot to even check it. can someone help me with this????
