I dont have my manual for my automatic 1996 ef ford falcon i need to find out what the firing order for the spark plug leads is?
EF & EL are 1,5,3,6,2,4
EF has a coil pack under the inlet manifold the EL has a distributor
EF uses a waste spark system so 2 plugs are fired at the same time eg 1 & 6 - 2 & 5 - 3 & 4
I have a EL falcon that wont start i need to find out y it wont
Well my old XF ute has it the firing order written on the intake manifold, im pretty sure with most 4.0 litre falcons its the same, try 1 5 3 6 2 4
1,5,3,6,2,4, all ford 6 cylinders are the same!
The firing order is 153624 for sure mate good luck
The reason for a no start on an el falcon is due to the electronic ignition module on the distributor or the coil it is recommended that if the coil is replaced then replace the electronic module on the side of the distributor as well because once one or the other has been replaced it it a well known fact that what part was not renewed will fail shortly after the new part is replace hope this helps regards keith cameron
