Drive cycles can be done in about an hour. 15 minute intervals.
First at highways speeds. Second at 45 MPH. Third at 30 MPH. Fourth at stop and go traffic. So from the highway to the city. Or replicate it on country roads. Just a note. drive cycles don't really effect emissions. You may won't check state requirements, or take it to another shop. or ask another shop.
The clutch packs for 3-4 need replacing this is a common problem with 4L60E transmissions. The vehicle should be driven D1 any time that you are traveling under 50 mph or 80 kms.
I experienced the same problem with my 95' Neon. I also had what I thought were good tires on my Neon. Although I had lots of tread, I still was a nervous wreck when it rained. Obviously one of the problems with smaller and lighter cars is it's resistance,(or lack of) to hydroplaning. I spoke to a friend who owned a tire shop and he recommended a different tire that he had used on numerous occasions in just such a scenario. I had them installed and could not believe the difference first time it rained. I could drive through water running across the roads during heavy downpours at highway speeds and it would cut right through with minimal to no loss of control. It was like night and day. It doesn't have to be the most expensive tire on the market either, just the proper tread pattern for water evacuation. If you check on ( http://www.tirerack.com/ ) you can choose driving conditions etc for your preferences and they will recommend a better tire, and you can see the price as well.
that was probably because it wears the engine that drives them to work. carry some internal contacts are called brushes and these are over. may also be that your system is damaged electrical wiring. or the alternator current nesecitas fail to bring a workshop to review electric luck
This system usually kicks on when it thinks the wheels are spinning out. Thus...it slows the wheels to regain control. It can also happen in the rain when the car senses it is hydroplaning. If none of these things are possible, it's probably a broken sensor or something.
Sounds like a dry/failing bearing or power steering pump noise. You first need to try to track down where the noise is originating, and the most likely place is at the front of the engine.
I would start by listening with the hood up while parked with the engine running and the noise present, and seeing if it is coming from there. If so, the most likely cause is something connected to the belt - e.g. AC compressor clutch, tensioner, power steering pump, or generator. Can also be caused by the belt just slipping (warn out belt, tensioner not working properly).
