Use any piece of metal tubing of proper size, but first check for fuel and pressure at the relief valve on the fuel injector rail and Do you hear the fuel pump in the tank running?

On the Tahoe K series 5.7L the fuel pump relay is in the engine compartment to the rear of the engine control module, should be identified on the cover over the relays

i have a 99 5.7 chevy suburban and have to use starting fluid for it to turn on , ive replaced the fuel reg. and fuel pump is 4years old fuel filter 6months old new cam and crank sensor new distrbutor rotor and cap
replace your MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure) the map sensor is the computer for your fuel pressure regulator telling how much pressure. Unless your tahoe runs like **** going up hill than it inevitably your fuel pump
Hello, yes the check valve is in the fuel pump assembly. The check valve is leaking and the pump will burn out soon. Unfortunately the aftermarket fuel pumps can be very unreliable. A good portion of problems we see on this site are from people who replace the pump sometimes twice and it still doesn't work.
I would suspect fuel pump before an odd ecm problem. When was you last fuel filter? An extremely dirty filter will wipe out these fuel pumps if left in play too long.
