It should not be a major issue as the engine fan usually takes more time to stop ..but for safety reason u can check for leaks ..

Check your Antifreeze Level. Is it low? If it is add antifreeze and then check for a leak. Look closely around the radiator. My RX8 was doing the same thing and the leak was at the radiator.

Changed battery in rain have lights engine turns over but no fire

The rx8 has the rotary ankles engine in it, these have porcelain tipped rotors instead of pistols and are prone to wear resulting in them not starting. The car should start with a bump or toe start. This will require an engine strip down and rebuild and should only be carried out by a qualified mechanic. (Mazda recommend rotors be replaced every 25000 miles)

Let me know if this helps

Mazda rx8 when i turn off the engine it wont start straight away it was 10 mins at first now getting worse thanks martin

If its done more than 35000 its likely the rotor tips are starting to carbon up
Start to add redex on every second petrol fillup this over time should soften up and dissolve the carbon build up

You may have fluided the engine with gas.You have to let it run for a min. before you turn off the switch.Check your eletrical system.Such as spark plugs/wires. And coils you have four.

White creamy thing on dipstick of mazda RX8

theres no water, theres no coolant, no cracked block, theres no problem, it is normal for an rx8 (for that matter a rotary engine) to have some white foam on the dipstick. all it is is oil being thrown about by the rotors all over the chambers and foaming up, there is nothing to worry about, its just oil. it is more noticeable in 04-05 models and if you so desire you can go to a mazda dealership and the will install baffles into your oil pan or a new one that is updated to help prevent this because they redesigned it after 05.

2004 Mazda RX8 Heater problem

There is a well known problem that is a manufacturer's defect with the soldered connection on the circuit board behind the temperature knob. There is a fix to re-solder the connections but the dealer will gladly take $450 to replace it with the same bad board that will last you a while. Look for the link to show you how to fix it yourself.

I have a 2004 MPV with 88k miles on it that feels as if it is missing when I drive. When I am stopped and it does this I notice a slight drop in RPM's. In addition the engine cooling fan is not running at...

The cooling fan turning on will normally cause an amperage draw making the engine drop in rpm's. However I beleive there may be a problem with the fan relay which switches the fan on at different speeds depending on the temperature demands of the engine.I dont beleive a bad relay will come up as a code because it's not a sensor.

My Mazda RX8 2004

I will never buy a mazda again. They have bad transmissions and engines. What is worse they use the same parts as Ford. How in the world do you combine a japanese and american parts into one engine? It keeps breaking down, thats what happens. I would ride it out since you are already gettin an engine but if you haven't purchased it, sell it and put that money towards another car, the dealer has used you like a gold digger.
