My acceleration is choppy and slow especially in 1st gear. The rest you can feel the drag as if i'm down a cylinder or just feels like i have cement in the car it doesn't wanna go.I have a a 2000 Mazda Protege and I had my car hooked to a computer that said I was having misfiring in certain cylinders, it also mentioned I needed to change my TPS Sensor which I did but got the same result. I changed my SP's once before and found a little oil on one, so i got to thinking if maybe there is a leak that could be affecting them so I haven't tried changing again yet. SP's were changed roughly 4 or 5 months ago. Was wondering if anyone has any ideas?

No you don't have to drain the oil, however if there is oil down where plugs are then that may be the reason for the misfire the oil blocking the spark or may actually be the cause of the coil going bad. You have another problem that needs to be taken care of if not you will have the same problem again soon. You need to change the oil seals in valve cover gasket and valve gasket to stop oil from getting on plugs.Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA

I wouldnt stop short of replacing the spark plug wires as well because they are often the culprit right next to replacing spark plugs.

What kind of plugs did you purchase? I strongly recommend NGK for the future.
