My key is stuck in the ignition.

Your car has several different ignition positions. They each offer slightly different functionality.
Off: In this position, the engine is off, and so are your electronic accessories (unless the delay has not expired yet). You can still turn on lights (headlights, interior lights, etc.).
ACC: This is the accessory position. Turn the key to ACC if you want to listen to the radio, play a CD or use other accessories without cranking the engine.
On: In this position, all of the electronics should come on. This is also the position that the key will return to after cranking the engine.
Start: Turn the key to this position to crank the engine. Let go of the key when the engine is running and the key will return to the on position.

I use to own a car that had an ignition that was ACC - OFF - ON - START.

Try turning your ignition one position clockwise and see if the radio turns off and the key comes out.

try this.. disconnect the vehicle battery entirely, connect a 10 amp battery charger to the car connectors matching the terminal leads..and power the car with the charger..you should hear a hum or buzz in whichever relay or circuit breaker is bad.. replace this relay and the lights and stuff should work..the charger will not direct-short but the guage may go full over indicating a malfunction..or extreme load.. maybe a window switch might be fried..you should be able to hear any issues as long as power is coming from the charger only...repost findings..

VW Jetta fan, wipers, headlights work until engine starts. Then they do not always function.

I would suspect you have a defective ignition starter switch, this is the main switch the the ignition key cylinder operates and it powers up the while electrical system,. It is under the steering column covers.

Hi,
Looks like an ECU problem,
You should go to your nearest dealer and check/scan and analyze your computer/ecu, some of the sensors might not be working already and need to be replace.
In the issue of starter, if it clicks and the motor of the starter whines up, it means it is working fine, the problem would be the bendix drive/gear can't reach the flywheel to start the engine.
My suggestion would be to bring that car to your dealer to check the ecu/computer and if the starter assembly is for your car model( sounds like its not for your car).

Hope that solves part of your problem!

Thanks for using Fixya!

Heater floor door dosnt open is it vacuam or electrial and how do i fix it 2000 gmc jimmy

With the key in the off position; remove the RDO BAT fuse for at least 10 seconds then replace the fuse; turn on or start the vehicle and try the A/C again. Removing the fuse should reset blend actuators.

We own a 2000 GMC Jimmy, and it won't start. It got repoed in January or Feb and we got it back with a GPS locater on it. Ever since the car lot put the locater on it, it kind of run weird after that. Now...

If the vehicle doesnt turn over make sure the battery is fully charged. If charged and still doesnt turn,(if the vehicle has a security system) check and make sure the starter kill feature is disabled (check vallet switch). If it cranks and doesnt start to check the fuel pump you can have someone turn the key to the on position while you put your ear close to the fuel tank to see if you can hear the pump (you should hear a buzzing sound for 5seconds after the key is turned to the on position). This is a tuff call. You need to find out what the lot did when they put the GPS on the vehicle
