Check fuses first. Then check switch operation and then wiring harness to recline motor. If recline motor is bad, remove the seat to access

I would look more for tune up and or maf sensor

if the flasher is fast and the brake dim

the white/tan wire is brake lamp, remove all 3 and make sure the bulbs are not shorted , test them. make sure this color wire is not hacked, at the left tail light they all come to one point and tailer kits go here.
on this car , the combo switch decides (contacts) if the lamp
is brake or blink, in the turn center position is brakes.
in brake mode, you have 3 lamps rear (yours is shorted)
and in blink you have many left or right lamps.
what i find odd is the fast blinking left and right. is should only fail one why , left or right. unless the combo is messed up.
cycle the Emergancy switch, it might stuck half way, seen many do that.

With the rear hatch open you should see to black plastic plugs hiding the access screws, once those are removed swing the whole assembly out 4 to 6 inches. The only thing holding the other end is two posts on the light assembly go into two rubber sockets. Pull straight out from the vehicle and it will be removed.
