i kow its 165432 but my box thingy is on the top of engine not the side and i am having isues cause i dont know which one is wich

There are two different ignition systems for that year, depending on if it is a VIN "C" or VIN "3". Here is the firing order diagrams for both systems.

I have a 88 v6 and every time its wet from a lot of moisture in the engine compartment it wont start. if i dry it all out it fires,and runs great. this only happens when its wet out.

You can buy ignition moisture remover and sealer at your auto supply store. The first time I saw it used I was sketical but it does work.

I have a delta 88 oldsmobile its a 1988 and its a 3.8l v6 it will run when its cold and start up just fine but after it gets hot it wont restart for about 30 minutes and its will chug and miss when its hot...

Have your coil checked and the igniton module
