I replaced my belts on a 2003 Subaru Baja and they still squeak or squeal. I know the air condition belt needs adjustment because it squeals when i turn on the AC. However, the noises were there the first day or two. Then no noise a day or two. Now it's doing it agian! I wached a belt manufacture video and they said there is a difference between occasional or intermittent squeak or continuous squeal.

You can try the soap trick.use a bar of soap and hold it on the edges of the belt very carefully, while it's on or you can do it off

Might check the crankshaft pulley some are two piece pulleys that can spin between the pulley hub and the outer belt ring causing a squeal sound like a belt, a good way to check for this is make a line from the center out to the end of the pulley with chalk, start the engine and wait to hear the squeal then turn the engine off and check the chalk mark to see if it's changed, if it has then that's the problem, replace the pulley.

SOURCE: loud squealing noise

Probably a belt getting loose or worn. If alternator has a separate one than the rest, try just tightening it up. My guess is that it's probably all one belt with a tensioner pulley, which means you can't tighten, (spring tension already applied by tensioner) you have to change the belt, to get rid of noise, and if noise comes back in short time, think about changing tensioner.

SOURCE: Intermittent squeal Nissan Primera Y reg 1.8

That would be the Wheel Bearings or the Brakes. Check the Brake Pads first for Wear, If they are OK, Then you will need to Pull the Rotors and Replace the Bearings.

SOURCE: my 1997 subaru impreza squeals badly and then engine smokes

Hi this sounds weird does the smoke come out from the front engine covers? the squealing could be the cambelt trying to turn a semi or completly ceased waterpump which would cause the smoke after a while, also without the waterpump working properly the engine will leak water and anti freeze out the overflow and overheat really quickly

2008 Saturn Vue belt that squeaks when I accelerate, rpms go up to 6000 before shifts

When I have had trouble with V-belts squeal or serpentine belts the belt is loose need to adjust tension or tension pulley bad. Belt wore and needs replacing or some of the pulleys are dragging while rotating or turning, could be bearing for pulley going bad.
Check belt is tight, look of high wear a lot of cracks in the belt. You can try loosening the belt and turning the pulley which will turn and see if they odd sounds or stiff to turn.

I have a 1998 crown victoria and I done replaced both pulleys and belt on it and it still squeaks real loud, even when i give it more gas ,what else could it be

A squeaking or squealing sound from a car's belt can often mean that the belt tensioning needs adjusting. Often this is done by adjusting the alternator. I don't know for your particular car, but I would check a service manual for that.
