The fireing order helped get the car running.but it still won't rev past 2500 rpm .What else could cause it to stop going past 2500 rpm?

Could be a couple of things but Make sure you go through the spark plugs again and the coil....this problem is usually a firing order issue. But, it also could be a bad coil.

I had trouble with the heat sleeves being so brittle I had to cut them off and tape them
back on. In the process I crossed two wires. It is never good to have a backfire when
you first start up with new plugs and wires. Turns out 2

Coil firing order

call autozone find out the firing order.the coil is numbered.the firing is counted from left to right.(for ex. if your firing order is 316524) three would be on the left so you run that sparkplug wire to the number three on the coil, and so on.

I need a coil in #cylender but need to the fireing

If you are triing to find the bad coil simply run the truck and unplug each coil wire connection from each coil one at a time and change the one that dosn't change the way the engine is running. If you have coil over plug type ignition the firing order is controled by the computor and as long as you plug the coils in correctly no firing order is needed.

Need the fireing order on the coil

Sorry for the delay. I am personally going back to answer your unanswered question.
I do not know if you still need the answer, but I am going to answer it in case you still do.

I do not know if you have the 3.1L V6 or the 3.4L DOHC Engine; however I have included both below. You can see based upon the Ignition Coil Connections this makes a huge difference.

For the 3.1L V6:
Firing Order:
1-2-3-4-5-6
Cylinders:
.....(back)
1......3.......5
2......4.......6
....(front)
Ignition Coil Connections:
............(back)
.|.5..2.|..|.3..6.|..|.4..1.|
............(front)

For the 3.4L DOHC V6:
Firing Order:
1-2-3-4-5-6
Cylinders:
.....(back)
1.......3.........5
2.......4.........6
......(front)
Ignition Coil Connections:
............(back)
.|.1..4.|..|.3..6.|..|.2..5.|
...........(front)

Again my apologies...
