Indicates a low system voltage (below 9 volts) - battery is probably not charging or failing. Check the voltage directly at the battery and if OK, use a battery load checker to confirm it doesn't have a plate problem. If not OK, try replacing the battery; if OK check for other codes.
You do not need to remove the battery to charge the battery. When you connect the charger you MUST be careful to connect the charger's positive lead to the positive terminal to the battery and the negative lead to the negative lead to the battery before you turn on the battery charger. Connecting the charger leads the wrong way around most likely damage the vehicle's electronics. When you finish charging the battery turn off the charger before you disconnect the charger leads. This will prevent arcing between the leads and the battery.
Sounds like a faulty voltage regulator to me.Start the car and take a multimeter and check voltage coming out of the alternator it should be 14-14.6 volts if its not within these specs take alternator back and get a new one.
Hello: The belt may be slipping, (check it for excessive grease/oil) or the alternator may have failed. A parts store can check the alternator nd they may not charge you.
SOUND LIKE ALTERNATOR NOT CHARGING BATTERY.BEFORE BUYING A NEW ALTERNATOR CHECK ALTERNATOR WIRES AND FUSE.IF YOU HAVE TO REMOVE ALTERNATOR.TURN OFF RADIO BEFORE REMOVING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.SO YOU WONT LOSE PLAYING CODE.
sounds like a 12V drain on the system, like a trunk or glove box light that won't shut off.> Could be many. many other reasons why. The way I would find the draining circuit would be to remove the neg cable of the battery. I then would connect a 12V test light between the neg battery TERMINAL and the neg battery CABLE. With a 12V drain the light will shine. I would install into the light a 9V battery powered recepticle to hold computer and radio station memory. Then I remove fuses 1 at a time, then reinstall, at the same time looking for the 12V light to go out. Hope this helps.
