I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with a Hemi alot of people are telling me a Dodge ram with the hemi cant have a plow because its built for speed not power. Or that it will void the warranty. Is there any truth to either of these??
Yes It can and It should not void the warranty. Contact your dealer.
I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 quad cab only have the 4.7 but it said in the owners manual not to plow with the 1500 model
It does void the waranty but I have a 2007 ram 1500 and plowed with it in Michigan since it was new and only had a few suspention problems, (sway bars and tie rods) but it pulls a trailer everyday and has 85k miles on it. Im switching from a 2002 F250 and love the dodge ram 1500 , very impressed and will probably get another dodge 1500 again. have 400hp now, my hemi has 345 and has pleanty of power even in a foot of snow.

I have the same truck, and I'm thinking about getting a plow as well. Are you going to get one( the plow)? I mainly need it for my driveway ,but I may plow commercially later on.
I have a 2005 dodge ram 1500 laramie. I asked the same question when I bought my truck.
I have it in writing from my dealer that the plow will no affect my warranty.
While as far as I know it won't WHOLELY void the warranty, it can affect it.
I do know that the 1/2 ton Dodge Rams are not recommended to plow with on a Ram new than 2002 (when the body style changed)
However as a former Dodge Mechanic I have seen them come into the dealership for service with plow setups.
My recommendation is don't do it. but if you must, I'd stick with a lighter duty yard plow vs a heavy duty commercial one.
