SOURCE: headgasket is out of this 1997 saturn sc2 1.9 liter

I have changed a head gasket on a saturn 1.9 L engine, no special tools are required. Take your time and be patient. do not over tighten the headbolts and do not forget to torque them to the correct specs. after about a week of driving check everything you tightened to uinsure they remained tight. all should be well when the project is complete. Oh one more thing. a mechanic dropped a socket into a friends engine and blew the motor. be very careful that all of your tools are acounted for before starting the engine

SOURCE: 2001 saturn sc2 gets code 341&340 camshaft sensor

if you have high resistance in secondary ign. system (plug wires, ign.coil) this will cause this code to set. make sure you are using a high quality spark plug wire set. not from autozone!!! and denso non platinum tipped spark plugs. also use a diaelectric grease on plug wires to keep moisture out.

SOURCE: how do i replace a ignition switch in a saturn sc2

Takes hammer and small long chisle or puch to back out two screws that have heads sheered. This removes assembly then has two 5.5mm screws retaining switch to housing.

SOURCE: 1997 Saturn SC2 Coupe automatic has no reverse??

If the transmission is not hurt, it may just be a simple fix by replacing the reverse solenoid. The bad news is that it's in the valve body in the transmission, if there is an Auto Zone around your area, have them scan the cart for any DTC codes and hope that there is a code in the history that relates to the transmission issue. Auto Zone scan free of charge and if there is a transmission code, that would help address the transmission issue and if it's just a reverse solenoid. That's good news, since it cost just a little more then a transmission oil and filter change. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help you get your car running 100% again soon.

Have 1999 saturn sc2 coupe engine will not turn over has automatic transmission

Not turning over means that you try to start it and get NOTHING. If the engine cranks and wont start that is a different issue.

I have a 2000 Saturn sc2 that the anti theft lockout has been activated. I was able to get it running, but then it stopped trying to turn over again. HELP

Do a reset or relearn. Reset is turn the ignition on for ten minutes, off for 30 seconds. Try to start. Relearn is three times this. Try to start after the third time. Have a battery charger on it. Voltage goes to low, you have to start over again.

1993 Saturn SC2 will not crank, but tries to turn over?

You are saying the engine cranks but does not start, right ?
Does it sound like it has compression ? If not could be a broken timing belt.

1997 Saturn SC2 won't start; not even when jump started. New battery, alternator load tested fine; starter was replaced eight months ago without any issues-don't think anything was wrong with it...

Auto or manual? If its auto try puting it in neutral and try starting. If manual than try pushing the clutch all the way to the floor. There is a switch on thr pedal that when pressed it enganges the starter.

1997 Saturn SC2 squeals very loud the first 3-5miles

Try replacing the belt tensioner. Comes out easily, once you figure out access to it. Remove inspection panel inside front passenger side wheel well. Tensioner is right there, two bolts. If the spring gets weak, the belt will squeak.
