2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Logo
Posted on Sep 12, 2010

I drove the Jeep home with no problems. This morning, it won't start -- no power at all, no radio, light, power lock, power window ... nothing works but I keep on hearing a fast "tick, tick, tick" sound ... and it will not start. Have no clue what's wrong with the car. Btw, it's a 2007 Jepp Grand Cherokee.

Your battery is low or has weak cell. I recommend jump starting vehicle. If it jump starts then replace the battery. If
battery warning light is illuminated on dash may have charging
system concern.

My asb light comes on when starting and stays on. Lights won't come on , power locks won't work, power windows won't work, radio won't work. All fuses are good and car runs fine.

Those are all really common symptoms of the alternator going bad on those cars. I would have it checked to make sure it's charging properly.

Engine won't turn over

This is most likely the battery, sometimes you can have enough power for dome lights and radio, but not enough "Cranking Amps" to start the vehicle. Charge it, or take it to an Auto zone or something. They will charge it and test it for free.

I have 2002 Jeep Liberty (Sport) - won't start!

Your security system could have a problem, replace battery in keyless remote. If not helping you may have to take it somewhere and have security system checked

Radio, dome lights and EVIC power problem

I found a paritally blown fuse. When the fuse blew metal pieces ended up partially making contact. After replacing the fuse everything worked great.

1996 Subaru Legacy No Power At All

Last night I checked the battery and it was still good. I disconnected and then reconn ected both terminals and that brought the power back. When I turned the key the power went out again. I repeated the procedure but did not turn the key. Instead, I took off the knee bolster and tried to wiggle the wires under the dash to see if I could find the source since it seems to be related to the ignition. Nothing cut the power so I started it up and it worked fine except for the check engine light which was flashing that says I have a misfire condition. I drove the car 25 miles to work this morning and will be taking it to the dealer for a better inspection.
