You may need to check all your fuses just in case.also check to be sure the horns plugged in.if all this is good replace the horn itself under the hood.. hope this helps!!

Horn would not work 3 months ago on Dodge Neon rt 2001; problem was intermittent so shop replaced horn 2 different times and it still had the problem. Took it to dealer and by then locks weren't working....

Lets try step by step heck $600 you re-run a new horn. Open your hood, and take the fuse/relay box cover off. Press your horn listen for the relay to click in the box if the relay does not click then it is not triggering. take a paperclip and pull the horn relay and jumper 30 and 87 as seen on the bottom of the relay in its corresponding spots in the panel. Your horn should sound. The last time i ran across this problem was the steering coulmn did not have an adequate ground, checking that could be a simple check of jumper cable to the metal of the column and the battery ground.

Ford escort 95 wagon the horn does not work but was just replaced 6 months ago with new one. it just clicks at the steering wheel

Check the horn relay
  • Horn relay located above the interior fuse junction panel. Hope this helps. Also check the ground wire to horn, if in doubt run a wire from horn base to some other ground.

    Horn stops work periodically

hi , if like a similar problem i had years ago , the problem is either a bad connection on the steering wheel or an earth fault on the horn its self ? the car i had the fault on was a mk1 golf and under the steering wheel was a copper strip round the neck of the wheel where its connected to steering rod.....the connection (similar to a motor armature brush) was not making a good connection, i cleaned them with wire wool and hey presto. hope this helps??

Horn Relay replaced multiple times in a few months

Actually you use the horn relay a lot! At least 3 times every time you get lock/unlock your car (6 toots, 2 toots for lock and 1 for unlock right?) ... You just said: "as i clicked my car to lock. It got weaker and weaker until it stopped working" Buy a different brand relay (preferably one not made in China, pay more) and don't expect they WILL last a long time the horns take a lot of power and they have a very dirty feedback to the relay un-like lights. You can dis-able the toots by reading your owners manual.

1999 F350 horn blows all on its own...

I think your horn relay is making contact from behind your horn buttons on your steering wheel. Usually as time creeps up the insulation that is placed on the positive lead for the horn gets worn out from constant horn action. If it is worn down the horn is touching a ground and completing the circuit and thus making the horn sound. I would start with that first before getting more technical. Let me know. Gabe

    Horn not working

Most likely it is the clockspring. The wheel and air bag have to be pulled off to replace. The wiring breaks within the clockspring causing the horn not to work and the cruise control on the steering wheel not to work. You can replace this your-self for about $100 as someone posted above but why. Check the recalls on your paticular veh. I replaced mine my self the first time and it went out about 6 years later. I found out that my vehicle was on the recall list for this part. The second time around I let the dealership pay for the part and labor.

Call the dealer to see if this is covered for free under recall! Most are! Hope this helps anyone who reads this!

    Horn doesnt work

its probably not the horn itself but it might be the horn button on the steering wheel, it probably the clock spring messing up , if it is than be very careful with the airbag when you pull the steering wheel off , just disconnect the battery and wait 5 to 10 minutes before disassembling the steering wheel
