SOURCE: Dodge Durango 1998 5.2L Output Speed Sensor code P0720 Location

Its in different locations depending on if its 2wd or 4wd. For 2wd its in front of the drice shaft or for 4wd its in the tranfer case, just look for a white shape like box with wires plugged into it and you need a socket to remove it, iam not sure how much it is to replace as the cost varies at different shops.

SOURCE: where is the crank shaft sensor locate on a 1998

Should be bolted right before the transmission (it has a wire connected to the harness) on the upper side of the engine (near the interior). See Chilton manual 20404.

2007 3.5 dodge Dakota rpm sensor where is it located to replace

Not sure what you mean by rpm sensor. The signal for the tachometer comes from the PCM and is based on signals from the crankshaft position sensor, located on the right rear of the engine where the transmission bolts to the engine, but if this is bad, there are a lot more problems than the tachometer not working. There are two speed sensors on automatic transmissions, an input speed sensor and an output speed sensor. Both are located on the left side of the transmission, the input speed sensor near the front (just behind the bell shaped portion) and the output speed sensor near the rear. In addition to those there are wheel speed sensors for the ABS, located in each wheel area covered by the ABS.

Where is the camshaft position sensor on a 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.2L

The camshaft position sensor is located on the distributor for all engines designed for the 1998 Dodge Dakota. Accessing the sensor requires removing the distributor cap and the distributor rotor. The camshaft sensor pigtail comes through the front of the distributor and connects to the engine wiring harness above the intake manifold.

Dodge Dakota 2WD, 3.9 V6, has major hesitation shifting from 2nd to 3rd and also downshifts in and out of OD at about 55 to 60 mph.

Speed output sensor. Located on the tailend of the tranny. Replaced mine did wonders. Make sure you have the right sensor for your trans. May need to get the dealer to lookup your vin#.

ABS light & brake light on, problems with speedo working properly

The rear wheel speed sensor is the most common problem on those trucks and will do what you are talking about. It is located at the top of the rear axle in the center. It picks up it's signal from a tone ring on the diff inside! If a tranny input or output sensor is bad then the tranny won't shift properly!
