The thermostat is located in the front of the intake manifold under the thermostat housing, and follow the upper radiator hose over to where it connects to the engine on the intake manifold and that will be the thermostsat housing. remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostsat housing and remove the ground wire if there is one attaced to one of the two thermostat housing studs, and then remove the two studs/bolts from the thermostat housing and then remove the thermostat from the intake manifold. Be sure to replace the thermostat correctly and here is an image to help assist you.

Where is the termostat on a 2005 dodge ram 1500

On 3.7/4.7L engines follow the lower radiator hose to the engine block.
it will be attached to the thermostat housing by the pulley.
You may need to lift the truck and disassemble the splash guard to gain easy access.
Make sure your system is cooled and not pressurized.

How to change thermostat

The Termostat fit inside the Termostat Housing. It normally links to one of the radiator hoses leading from the engine block or radiator. Depending on the model you have, the termostat housing needs to be opened, the old termostat removed and the new termostat inserted. It's quiet simple. Before closing up, make sure that the both surfaces on the housing are clean and free from dirt and old sealant. If you remove a gasket, then replace with new gasket. If the housing takes a rubber O ring, then it is advisable to replace this.

Replace termostat in a 1998 chevy cavalier still run hot

Yes it does have a electric fan, mine went out on my 2003 and I just changed the electric motor itself. Autozone offered the entire fan with motor or they offered just the motor. I chose to replace the motor only because I knew the fan blades and housing was fine. I had to drop the fan down and take out the entire assembly from the bottom but overall the process was a 3 out of 10 on the difficulty.

Termostat

Need to change the termostatic, this will make the car heat up, plus increase your fuel milage, plus check on changing the sending unit under the hood, that send the signal to the gauge.

Termostat

Simple! Your motor will Overheat and Stop causing you to have to get it Rebuilt. If you Follow the Top Radiator Hose to the Block there is a Bell Housing that the Hose Connects to. Remove the Hose and the Bell housing. Thermostat is Under the Bell housing, Looks kinda like a U.F.O.! LOL
