Manual Transmission made a clunking noise while pulling away from a stop sign while in first gear. Car would then not move forward or reverse. Able to shift in all 5 gears and also in reverse.

sounds like you have a busted drive shaft or a bust spigot shaft going into your gear box. Easiest way to check on this is to jack up the front of the vehicle and spin the wheels. If the drive shafts move then they are fine and you have a busted spigot shaft. The only way to replace this shaft is to drop the gear box and replace it.

Reverse acts as neutral. (auto tranny)

It is hard to say, but as long as all of the forward gears work fine, then it might work for a long time. But without knowing what is wrong, I would at least change the fluid to remove as much metal or clutch material as you can. Don't worry about the filter, you can't change it without disassembling the trans. Just drain the fluid and refill it. This won't fix reverse, but it might prolong further problems. And don't park where you can't pull straight out.

NO REVERSE FORWARD GEARS WORK. IS THERE A BAND AJUSTMENT FOR REVERSE ?IF I PUSH IT OFF IT WORKS BUT SLIPS

I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX, it shifts normal on forward with no problem. Also when the car is cold the reverse gear works just fine, but when the car runs for about few minutes the reverse gear will not work. It will seem as if it wants to go but then if feels like its neutral.
