The passenger side window started temporarily stop working when the car was started. After a few minutes of the car running it would begin to work again. One day it it just stopped working all together. You can hear the clicking from the control as well but nothing happens. Is it an electrical problem? I recently purchased this car and have noticed some other electrical quirks. The "AIR BAG" light is always illuminated, and the seat belt indicator light and beeping spurts in and out and sometimes not at all. There are some sub woofers that were professionally installed in the trunk, they haven't worked since I've owned the car. I wonder if perhaps all of these issues are related or are being caused by the subs?

Had the same problems with the passenger window motor and the airbag light. For tgeh window, the magnetic bushings were worn down on mine and had to replace the entire unit. About a 2 on a 1-5 difficulty scale. The part itself can be found on eBay for about $45 inc. S

Windows stops working

Could be a few things.

1. Bad switch (the buttons for the windows)
Also check to see if they work independently as in try each button on that side. (use button on passenger side for passenger side window)

2. Bad motors

1995 Toyota RAV4 3-dr passenger electric window has stopped working - where to begin...

Try the safety switch...The one you lock so children in back can't let the window down... That would be the reason the front window still works..Tap it hard while pushing down the button on the window...Worth a try..

I have a 2003 cavalier. I have power windows. The passenger side window although slowly does go down. When closing the window it will go up stop then after giving it several minutes goes up a little...

Maybe your motor just need the connections taken off and sprayed down with wd/40 to help the connection. Is this happening on the driver side? if so try useing the passenger side button and see if it opperates same way, it;s a different window motor> good luck to you.

Low/no power to passenger window.

More than likely you have a bad switch. You can try to pry the switch apart and clean the contacts inside. Usually the passenger side switch is pretty inexpensive, around $25-$35. The switches get dirty inside from dirt or water dripping when it rains and the window is opened or if someone might have spilled something on it.

My car windows only work when it's cold outside

I have used a spray freeze in a can, they are available at radio shack and most electronic parts store. It is very usefull on your type of problem. I have use them a lot for electronic circuits, and they are very usefull. My guess is it is the switch. That spray can will isolate where the problem is, instead of guessing and buying parts you don't need. It blow very cold gas so try not to spray you hands accidentally, because it will freeze it.

One speaker works all the time the others only sometimes

Could be intermittant wiring issue or the speaker itself.

If you have another spare car speaker you can hook up temporarily, I'd start there. Disconnect one of your "bad" speakers and hook up a known good one. If the temp. speaker works OK all the time, then you know you wiring is okay.

Let me know if more ?s!

Most likely the window motor brushes are sticking, but in any case the door panel must be removed to service the motor
